This piece is finished. I was planning on colorizing it, however a good friend of mine and well known painter Lou Maestas stopped by the other day and saw this piece and said "sign it Virgil, it's done!"  I had been thinking the same thing, and had discussed it with Em... and after Lou confirmed it.... we'll it's a black and white folks!  Hope you enjoy it!

The Legacy Allstars!  This piece is out of my realm, but Amado Pena has a show up in Albuquerque New Mexico called the Legacy Art Show and for years us boys have been jamming at the hotel after the artist party and have been dubbed the "Legacy All Star Band" so ... this year I decided to step out and do something different for the donation. If you notice there are two well known movie stars that are part of our band.

this artwork will be donated to Legacy Art invitational to benefit children that want to go to art school but can't swing the payment.  It will be auctioned off in May in Albuquerque at that function. The subjects are all of us that jam together yearly at the function. Robert David Hall (CSI), Lou Diamond Phillips and of course me! among others are featured in this painting.

Introducing "Pecking Order"  This piece will be sold in Black & White and in color.
I have a lot of black and white collectors that have been hounding me for some more pencil, so this is probably as close as we are gonna get to that.  The piece is created in Conte, Oil base Charcoal.  The next picture it will be colorized unless someone takes it home before I get to it.
